About Green Man Survival

At Green Man Survival we specialize in real world, reality based bushcraft and survival training. Our skills have been developed and honed over many years at the sharp end of leading in wilderness environments, from the jungles of South America to the frozen forests of Sweden. Our bushcraft and survival and experiences are based in the Lake District National Park and are suitable for all, from adventurous young families to born survivors. Our experiences are provided on a private basis for you and your group (up to a maximum number of 8 participants). We also offer a range of group courses on set dates which are open to mixed bookings, individuals are welcome to book to join other like-minded folk.

Booking Policy

Confirming your booking
Your chosen activity and date will only be reserved when full payment is received with a completed booking form through the Green Man Survival website. Upon booking you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and the general conditions of Green Man Survival. The person making the booking accepts these terms on behalf of all members of the party. The experience you book with Green Man Survival will be run privately for your group, with a minimum of two (2) adults required per booking, up to a maximum group size of eight (8) people including any children. All children are always under the responsibility of the accompanying adults. Child prices are only applicable to children under the age of 16 years on the date that the booked activity takes place.

Green Man Survival also offer courses on set dates which are run for mixed groups; individuals are very welcome to book these courses to join other like-minded folk. Any experiences that are offered as mixed group courses will be clearly stipulated within the course description. Any person under the age of 18 years wishing to partake in a group course must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Your responsibility
It is your responsibility when booking to ensure that you and members of your group are fit enough to cope with the activity and the environment associated with your booking. You are aware that the activities you are to take part in can be of a strenuous and adventurous nature. You acknowledge such risk and therefore accept the need for responsible behaviour. All clients must adhere to the instructions, guidance and decisions of our instructors. Safety decisions made by the instructor are final. You must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. You must wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the activity; a minimum recommended kit list is provided for each activity for your own safety. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the right equipment and are suitably prepared. You maintain responsibility for your own personal belongings at all times. We reserve the right to cancel or curtail your booking due to inappropriate behaviour.

Media & Marketing
We may take photographs and/or videos of the experiences we deliver, which can include images of you as our clients. These images and/or videos may be used on our website, social media and in other marketing materials. If you do not wish you or your family to be photographed or filmed or for any photographs and films which may contain images of you or your family to be used in this manner, please advise your instructor and/or the photographer in advance.
