Scrambling Experience (grade 2 or 3) with The Lakes Mountaineer
Grade 2 and 3 scrambling is closer to climbing than walking. Part of a mountain journey, you regularly employ a rope for safety, and you get to some amazing places. Join The Lakes Mountaineer to be guided up some of the scrambling classics of the Lake District, in the safe hands of a highly-qualified Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor. You tell us where you'll be based and the grade you'd like and we'll find somewhere within a short drive.

ItineraryWe'll begin by getting harnesses and helmets on, and a practice of what we'll do on some easy ground before heading onto our challenge. The day will be tailored around you, so whatever level you want, we can challenge you. The routes are part of a journey through the mountains, and before you know it, you'll be looking down at the valley wondering how you got up there and what happened to all that time.
Popular Choices: Pinnacle Ridge on St Sunday's Crag from Patterdale (grade 3); Jack's Rake from Great Langdale (grade 2); The Langdales (any grade); Arrowhead Ridge (grade 2) - next to the iconic Napes Needle; Pillar Rock (grade 3) - the only mountain in England you can't walk to the top of!
