Experience the adrenaline rush!Challenge yourself and have a go at Abseiling. Hodge Close is a spectacular 85ft high disused green slate quarry in the Tilberthwaite Valley. Experience the adrenaline of abseiling down the massive walls into the depths of the Quarry. Our experienced instructors will be on hand to offer advice and keep you safe. Hodge Close was mined until the late 1960s and is now flooded creating a spectacular lake in the bottom of the quarry that is almost as deep as the vertical walls are high! With pieces of old mine workings that whisper of times gone by, this venue is spectacular and full of history.
